Dear St. Luke Community:

Join us this Sunday either in person or online as we continue to examine humanity’s role in caring for God’s creation.  We will welcome back to the pulpit Rev. Dr. Joanne Whitt.  Many know Rev. Joanne as she served as the interim pastor at St. Luke in 2021. Prior to beginning seminary, Joanne practiced as a trial lawyer for 15 years. Currently, she serves on the Zephyr Point Board, and as co-chair of the Committee on Ministry of the Presbytery of the Redwoods.  We look forward to worshiping alongside her this Sunday.

Also, beginning this Sunday I will be taking a week’s long vacation (5/8-5/14).  I will be back with you all on Sunday, May 15, 2022.  While I am away if you have any questions regarding the facilities, please contact Joanne Trifoso at: . Questions regarding worship and online resources contact Beth at: . For pastoral care emergencies contact Rev. Joanne Whitt at:

Peace be with you all,
Pastor Andrew

Dear St. Luke Community:

This Sunday begins our next worship series, Awake, O My Soul.  Over the coming weeks, we will turn our focus on eco-justice and our relationship with God’s creation.  Additionally, we will use prayers from Phillip Newell’s newest book, Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul.  To begin the series we will look at our relationship to water and God’s call to us to be good stewards of creation.

There will be visitors helping lead worship this week, including The Sons of the Sea who will be providing beautiful music for us.  Also, we welcome Mike Levin to speak from a Jewish perspective on our responsibility to nature.  In the past, this Sunday has been referred to as Mariners' Sunday, and we will continue this tradition with imagination and creativity.  I look forward to worshiping our Divine Creator together!

As always, please reach out to me via phone (831.207.7356) or email ( ).  I would love to meet with you all individually, so if you have a free afternoon or just want to grab a cup of tea, don’t hesitate to

Peace be with you all

Dear St. Luke Community:

He is risen… He is risen indeed!  Thank you to all who attended our Easter Worship Services.  We had a beautiful service full of flowers, laughter, music, and juggling.  I am grateful that my family and I had the opportunity to worship with you all.  Another big thank you to everyone who participated in the service: our flower team, worship team, musicians, choir, soloist, technical support, fellowship angels, chair/piano movers, and everyone who celebrated with us.  What a joy!

As we discussed on Easter Sunday, although Jesus has risen, the good news is still spreading.  The courageous women are proclaiming the good news so now it is time for the disciples to join the chorus.  Join us this Sunday as the disciples have a first-hand experience of the risen Lord.  Specially, we will examine “Doubting Thomas” and perhaps rebrand him as “Faithful Thomas.”

As always, please reach out to me via email at: or via phone at: 831.207.7356.

Peace be with you all
Andrew Quick
